KR has a deep passion for helping others. Her work as an advocate for hearing health, gender equality, and the LGBTQ community has her leading talks at multiple events a year. She has been invited to speak at the White House, the UN, and on Capitol Hill to push for a more accessible world for all.
Over the last two decades, she’s launched some of the most disruptive hardware lifestyle tech brands on the market, from iPhone cases and portable power, to wireless headphones, smartwatches and hearables. Recently, as an advisor to Google, she drove and developed the Live Caption project launched at Google I/O 2019. She also collaborated with Senator Warren and Senator Grassley's passed legislation called the Over-The-Counter Hearing Aid Act of 2017, which was signed into law by the President on Aug 18th, 2017.
Diagnosed with severe hearing loss at the age of three, KR has made it her life's work to be a strong advocate and voice championing new technology that enhances the way we connect in the world. She has been awarded a U.S. Congressional award; Silicon Valley's 2015 Top 40 Under 40 and 2017 Women of Influence; 2015 Women on the Move by Women's Business Journal, and nominated for OUTstanding 2017 Leading LGBT+ Executive for her advocacy work in technology.
KR is actively involved with industry organizations that are working toward tech innovation in hearing accessibility and inclusion. KR is on the board for the Hearing Loss Association of America, Consumer Technology Association Foundation, Deaf Kids Code, and the World Wide Hearing Foundation.
